Artificial intelligence (AI) broadly refers to any human-like behavior displayed by a machine or system. In AI’s most basic form, computers are programmed to “mimic” human behavior using extensive data from past examples of similar behavior.

Roy’s E & A Pvt. Ltd. has competencies in the field of Machine Learning using AI deep learning techniques. A pioneering work has been initiated by us called “Underwater Photography Noise Cancellation usingArtificial Intelligence and Deep Learning”.

Underwater photography in turbid waters gives sub optimal results. Cancellation of noise to provide clearer pictures is necessary for many applications particularly in maritime defense.Defogging model is used to correct the contrast and to sharpen the white balance toalleviate the defogging effect. Furthermore, Statistical property of grey image histogram, fuzzy C-means approach based on particle swarm optimization for underwater optical division has been applied on real images. A systemis built to focus to the object of interest, generalized robust principal component analysis (GRPCA), which could extract the visual feature information from underwater images. To enhance the efficacy, Color Constancy is introduced in the algorithm. Color Constancy is a type of perceptual constancy, which tends to remain relatively stable even for individual perception of familiar objects under different changes in illumination, lighting intensity and other conditions. Therefore, keeping Color Constancy is helpful for vision-based applications and is an important topic of underwater image processing.

The purpose of underwater image restoration is the process of reconstructing or recovering degraded images caused by the adverse factors in the complex underwater environment, including camera and object relative motion, the optical imaging mechanism of underwater scattering, turbulence, distortion, spectral absorption and attenuation, etc.

The radio can then be programmed with the frequency and type of transmission. Software-defined radios are becoming more popular, as they are more affordable and easier to use. SDRs are also more reliable than traditional radios.

Roy’s E & A Pvt. Ltd. iscurrently working in the design of L band X band amplifier. These amplifiers have three stage high-gain and high efficiency RF power amplifier. The module is ideally suited for use in VHF and UHF frequency bands up to 700MHz. The first and second stages of the amplifier operate in a class-A and class-AB mode respectively, and the third stage operates in a class-C mode for maximum efficiency.

Ionosphere conditions are variable in nature and can cause destructive interference to transmissions made in the High Frequency (HF) band, which ranges from 3-30 MHz. This poses a problem as the HF band is a critical frequency range for various applications (i.e. emergency, military). To manage these dynamic conditions, intelligent techniques should be implemented at the transmitter and receiver to properly maintain reliable communications. Roy’s E &A Pvt. Ltd. uses cognitive HF transceiver with agents called cognitive engines (CEs) operating at the transmitter and receiver. At the transmitter, cognition is employed to determine the combination of modulation and coding techniques that maximize throughput. At the receiver, cognition is implemented to derive the best parameters for equalization (i.e. tap length, step size, filter type, etc.).
