R&D Introduction:
Greetings!
Research and technological development are the part of innovative activities undertaken by Roy Group of Industries (RGI) in developing new products and improving existing ones. Roy Group has envisaged its R&D department headed by engineers for technological up keepnet and scientists for new innovation to facilitate future product development. Roy Group has immediate thrust in the development of Railway Signalling Equipment. Roy Group of Industries developed Signalling equipment namely TLBI (Token Less Block Instrument) which is a critical safety equipment required for single route trafficking for Railways. UFSBI (Universal Fail-Safe Block Interface), the other critical safety equipment required for Double route Trafficking is under the process of development. Absolute block signalling is a British signalling scheme designed to ensure the safe operation of a railway by allowing only one train to occupy a defined section of track (block) at a time. This system is used on double or multiple lines where use of each line is assigned a direction of travel. A train approaching a section is offered by a station master to his counterpart at the next signal box. If the section is clear, the latter accepts the train, and the first station master may clear his signals to give permission for the train to enter the section. This communication traditionally takes place by bell codes and status indications transmitted over a simple telegraph wire circuit between station masters using a device called a block instrument. Roy Group has expertise in the field of Telemetered Remote Control and Communication System. Long distance underground wired communication with high reliability and data integrity requirement is mandatory for Indian Railways Standards. |
